The theme for the Karnivale is Art Deco In Tropics and everyone is invited to come along, dress up and be transported into Innisfail in the 1930’s partys, stripped jackets and straw hats, flapper dresses, string pearls and all that Jazz!
Indiana Jones Movie Night
Kicking off the Karnivale on Friday, 3rd October, is the Innisfail Rotary Indiana Jones Movie Night. Starting at 6.30pm at the Con the night will begin with a live jazz band and bar. The feature film is Indiana Jones and the Temple of doom set in the 1920’s everyone is encouraged to dress up. Tickets are $10.
Mission Beach Aquatic Festival
Saturday, 4th October starts with the Mission Beach Aquatic Festival. Events include tinny races, an iron man and maiden competition, beach volleyball, sandcastle competition and a host of music and entertainment for the whole family. Held at Rotary Park on Wongaling Beach, admission is free.
Greek Dinner Dance
In the evening of Saturday, 4th October, is the Greek Dinner Dance. Featuring delicious tradition Greek food, lots of dancing and music by Tully band Deluge. It is sure to be a great night and lots of fun. Every one is welcome to come along. The dinner will be held at Wangan Hall at 6.30pm, admission is $25.0
Sea Haven Longest Lunch
As part of the Innisfail Karnivale celebrations, Green Ant Inc is proud to invite everyone along to the Sea Haven Longest Lunch on the first weekend of the festival.
The Longest Lunch will be held on the beautiful banks of the Johnstone River opposite the Imperial Tavern on Sunday 5 October. One very, very long table will be set up under a line of white Marquees for a glamorous leisurely luncheon event.
Guests will enjoy a complete sit down silver service with tables beautifully decorated with white linen and fresh flowers. Chefs will be on hand to provide fantastic food and a fully serviced bar will operate for the afternoon. Entertainment will be provided by Cairns jazz band Evergreen.
The lunch will begin at 12:00pm with champagne and hors d’ourves on arrival. Guests will be seated for a delicious three course meal featuring the best of our wonderful tropical region’s meats, seafood, fruit and wine.
After lunch the pace will be stepped up with Evergreen belting out some dance tunes for an afternoon of jazz and jiving.
The theme of the lunch is Art Deco In The Tropics and we hope to see everyone out with their feature boas and striped blazers.

Innisfail Street Party
Thursday 9 October is the Innisfail Street Party come along and join in the festivities, featuring Children's Fancy Dress Parade sponsor by Girl's Only, Ergon Energy Innisfail Idol Competition, judging of he best dressed business and staff and live music. Free Ballons for the kids and showbags for every child that enters the fancy dress parade. Held at Cane Cutter Court in Edith Street from 5pm till 9pm.
Wine, Cheese and all that Jazz
At 7pm on Friday, 10th October is the Imperial Taverns Wine, Cheese and all that Jazz, Andrew will have a selection of over 60 wines to try in the new celebrations wine warehouse, entry is $15.
Harvest Festival
The culmination of the Innisfail Karnivale, the Harvest Festival is held on Saturday 11 October. Starting at 2.30pm, it is an afternoon and evening packed full of fun and excitement for all.

Nunsensations - The Vegas Revue
